A Special Teacher’s Day Celebration for Professor Dae-Kyung Kang

 

To celebrate Teacher’s Day, members of the Laboratory of Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology (LIMB) gathered to express their heartfelt gratitude to Professor Dae-Kyung Kang for his years of guidance, mentorship, and unwavering support. 

The celebration brought together current members Van Aldren Cañas, Jae Seung Lee, Ji Hoon Song, and Dr. Remilyn Mendoza, along with LIMB alumni Dr. Cheonghoo Yoon, Dr. Jong Pyo Chae, Dr. Ju Kyoung Oh, Dr. In-Chan Hwang, and Mr. Gwangrak Hong. As a token of appreciation, the members and alumni presented gifts to Professor Kang in recognition of his dedication and lasting impact on the LIMB community. Ms. Yu-Ri Shin also joined the celebration, offering her warm Teacher’s Day wishes and a gift to Professor Kang.

The gathering provided an opportunity for current and former members to reconnect, share updates, and reflect on their experiences in LIMB. Throughout the celebration, members expressed their appreciation for Professor Kang’s commitment to fostering not only scientific excellence but also the personal and professional growth of his students. His continued encouragement, support, and dedication to uplifting laboratory members have helped shape the careers of many current and former students, who have since excelled in their respective fields in academia and industry.
