Congratulations for being one of the 2018 Outstanding ASEAN Science Diplomats

The 2018 Outstanding ASEAN Science Diplomat is a recognition of the contribution of outstanding scienstists across ASEAN in research areas focusing on climate change, food security, water sufficiency and sustainable energy. The Diplomats were convened through the ASEAN Science Diplomat Assembly last April 23-27 in Davao City to build collaboration and partnership among ASEAN scientists and engineers to address the probable impacts and risks of climate change in the region. About 19 Diplomats were recognized inlcuding Dr Marilen P Balolong of UP Manila an Assocoate Professor of the Department of Biology and the current Associate Dean for Reserach and Public Service of the College of Arts and Sciences.
