LIMB ATTENDS ACLAB12 IN MALAYSIA!


LIMB members, In-Chan Hwang and Ji Hoon Song attended the 12th Asian Conference on Lactic Acid Bacteria (ACLAB12) held at BORNEO CONVENTION CENTER KUCHING (BCCK), Sarawak, Malaysia on October 10-13.


This conference, the Malaysian Society for Lactic Acid Bacteria (MSLAB) hosted the conference under the auspices of the Asian Federation of Societies for Lactic Acid Bacteria (AFSLAB). 


The main objective of ACLAB12 was to disseminate cutting edge developments on LAB. The conference theme of ACLAB12: “Evidence-based LAB: advances, opportunities and challenges” encompassed 8 tracks of scientific sessions.


The 12th ACLAB has become a major platform to showcase the rapid advancement of LAB-based research and technology that will facilitate networking and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.


In addition to attending, LIMB member In-Chan Hwang presented a poster titled "Oral Immunization with Recombinant SARS-CoV-2 Antigens Displayed on the Surface of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum Elicits Immune Responses in Mice".


LIMB members also met LIMB alumna Professor Marilen P. Balolong at the conference. They attended her oral presentation "Health-promoting properties of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum BS25 and Pediococcus acidilactici 3G3: Understanding lactic acid bacteria-host interaction".
