Prof. Kang invited as chairperson in different symposia for the month of October
Professor Kang has been selected to preside different symposia held in the month of October.
Daejeon, Korea. The International Dairy Federation (IDF) World Dairy Summit 2018 was
held from October 15 to 19 in Daejeon Convention Center. This year, Prof. Kang
was invited to be the chairperson for the special session titled, “Fermented
Dairy: gut microbiome and health promotion.”

In-Chan Hwang, a PhD student in LIMB, also presented a poster paper
titled, “Characterization of an Anti-listerial Bacteriocin from Leuconostoc lactis SD501” during summit.

In addition, Prof. Kang was invited to preside the 79th
Fall Symposium organized by the Korean Society of Milk Science and
Biotechnology last October 18 held in the same venue.
Gwangju, Korea. Prof. Kang served as the chairperson during the third session of the Symposium by Korean Society of Microbiomics held at Chosun
University last October 19.
