LIMB Alumna and UP Manila Professor Parungao-Balolong visits DKU

Professor Parungao-Balolong presenting her current research in UP Manila

Dankook University. LIMB alumni and University of the Philippines Manila Associate Professor Marilen Parungao-Balolong visited the university from October 24 to 31, 2019. During her stay, she presented the current research projects in her laboratory, Applied Microbiology for Health and Environment Research Group (AHMERG). The laboratory focuses on functional foods and their application in human health.

Aside from delivering her talk in front of students and professors, she also proposed a research collaboration between LIMB and AHMERG. This will allow the students from her laboratory to work in LIMB and vice versa. Through this collaboration, young aspiring researchers from both groups can learn from each other while strengthening their skills and developing their passion in research.
