Quadram Institute Professor Arjan Narbad visits DKU

Dankook University. Quadram Institute Professor Arjan Narbad visited Dankook University and LIMB last November 4 and 5, 2019. His current research focuses on gut microbiome and its application to health, most especially on the use of fecal microbiome transplant (FMT) on Clostridium difficile infection (CDI).

During his first day in the university, he presented his work on gut microbiome and FMT in front of undergraduate students and professors.

He was also invited as a speaker during the 1st Dankook Institute of Convergence Science Global Symposium. Together with other experts in the field of health science, he presented the application of his studies on medicine and health care. He discussed the highlights of FMT as a medicine for CDI, and how FMT can be a potential medicine for other gastrointestinal diseases.
